I loved it. :)

A few spoilerish comments below…. so read at your own peril, yar.

It felt very long, but very good. Like two movies packed into one. And it was far better than Dead Man’s Chest.

The two navy soldiers who became pirates were so awesome, as was the look inside Jack’s head. Not to mention Captain Teague being so cool and Jack-like. When he was first introduced though, I thought he was “Captain Teach”, as in Edward Teach from real life pirates. Aparently that’s who he was based on, so that makes it ok. :)
The plot wasn’t so bad, though I was explaining it to someone else as we went. The whole Davy Jones’ Locker thing is still a little confusing, but the more reviews I read the more it gets clearer in my head.

Will looked super hot in this movie. So did Elizabeth, especially in the Singapore Pirate styles. She really kicked ass in this movie. Elizabeth is what Padme should have been in Revenge of the Sith, instead of merely a walking incubator.

I would bet that by now someone on Livejournal has written a Jack/Jack fic. And I can’t blame them. It’s practically canon! ;)
I loved the finale, even the fighting/wedding wasn’t too cheesy. When Jack and Davy Jones were fighting I just wanted Jack to smack him over the head with the chest, and when it happened I was a very happy Monii.

The thing I’m most annoyed about? My dear moviegoing partner wanted to leave halfway through the credits, so I didn’t get to see the last scene (which, according to other spoilerish reviews was exactly what I was hoping it would be). Grr. I’ll see who I can drag with me, and go again.

I wants to be a pirate now, yarr.
