Scanner Commentary

Hello all this is my first blog while listening to a scanner of my choice. I will comment and give you a brief happening on what is happening. I will always listen to Police or Fire. I do listen to ATC but they are not as interesting. Well lets get on with it shall we?

 Well I am currently listening to the Las Vegas Fire Department. I am thinking its the clark county by the way the Alarm Office Website is showing its current calls. I started to listen to it after watching “The Office” on NBC. When I tuned in I heard that a building was on fire and thought I would go do some investigating on what was on fire. So I went to the Clark County’s Fire Dept website. They have this cool website that live updates with all their current calls. I got down the list and found they had an address for the call I was listening to. The address was 3400 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas 89109. So I wondered where it was on the strip. COme to find out on Google Earth its The Mirage Casino And Hotel. So far they have not found a fire but lots of smoke has engulfed a certian portion of the building. They are currently ventalating the building opening all the doors. There have been 2 radios that have been shorting out that make a annoying noise that doesnt turn off. But so far no firemen are down.

 Alert: Fireman has just found flames along side a door. 21:20

They are resuming internal operations right now.
